We learned two IB Learner Profile this week.
We strive to be communicators. As communicators, we try to speak up and share our ideas. In order to have an effective communication, we listen while someone is talking and we ask if we didn’t understand.
We took a walk around the classroom together with our team and looked at the pictures around. We talked about the pictures, categorized them, then explained why we chose to put them in that category.
Communication is a two way process. Someone is talking and the other is listening. With this in mind, we made a string telephone and made a theory on how it works. We think that the sound waves travel through the string and reaches the other end of the telephone. We could hear the sound more clearly if the string is stretched out than a loose string.
We strive to be reflective. We find ways to be better. We looked at the mirror and thought of how we want to be better.
On Wednesday we went on our first Milky Way swimming lesson. We met our swimming instructor again and had fun in the water.
We also had our first Milky Way Music lesson. We played the song Gakko and we could still remember it!
