UOI
As the third line of inquiry says, “Families are different around the world”. We started the week by making their presentation of the four teachers’ families. The class was grouped into four— Ms. Akiko’s, Mr. Kenneth’s, Mr. Noah’s, and Ms. Rose’s families. Each group discussed where the teachers are from, the number of family members, their pets, cars, etc. They understand that each family is different and that we respect each other’s differences.
今週のUIOレッスンではLOI3の “Families are different around the world” について探究をしていきました。先週、それぞれ違う国出身の４人の先生が母国の家族についてお話をしてくれたので４つのグループに分けて、それぞれの先生についてのポスター作りをしてまとめてみました📜🖍 ４人の先生たちの家族の形(メンバー)も、持っているもの、住んでいる家も、ペットも違いましたね👀👀 みんな違ってそれぞれの家族を尊重し合う事の大切さを知りました❤
Math
Shooting Star started learning about 3D shapes. We compared 2D and 3D shapes and came up with the conclusion that 2D shapes are “flat” and 3D ones are “fat”. On the other hand, Milky Way made a clock to practice reading time.
算数の時間です。昨年Auroraのクラスで２Dについては学習していたので、クラスの初めに２Dの復習をして、その後 ３D立体図形について学びました。 ２Dと３Dの違いを手で表現して確認しながら授業を進めていきました🟡🔺🔷🟩その日のお昼休みに３Dの立体図を紙にかけてしまうお友達もいましたね😲💕 Milky Wayのクラスでは時計の読み方のお勉強です🕐 今回が初めての授業だったので、楽しくオリジナルな時計を個々に作成してみました✂📝
Swimming
Open School Day
The day was perfect for us to do the Open School Day outside. Shooting Star and Milky Way showed their parents what we do in the morning circle including the Hello song, Jump out words song, and some routine questions about the day, date, and weather.
Afterwards, one of the Aurora’ parents together with an expert, taught us how to plant different kinds of vegetables like eggplant, tomato, okra, green pepper, and more. Planting with our parents is such a nice bonding and learning at the same time.

今週は園庭での参観日もありました。Shooting StarとMilky Wayのお友達は朝の会でどんな歌を歌っているか保護者の皆さんへ紹介しました❣ その後はトマト、オクラ、ナス等の野菜の苗植えと種まきを保護者の皆さんと一緒に行いましたね🍆🍅🥕 お野菜はどのように成長し、収穫時を迎えるのでしょうか❓とても待ち遠しいですね😎😉
