It was a fun week meeting two of our community helpers. On Monday, we met a community helper who loves playing the piano. She conducts piano lessons and holds concerts as well! Amazing! We learned that she practices the IB Learner Profiles and the approaches to learning too before conducting her concert. First, she thinks of what music to perform. Second, she does some research on the music she wants to perform. Then she does a lot of rehearsals, next she decides and prepares the clothes she needs to wear, and lastly, she performs in front of her audience. Amazing, isn’t it?
On Thursday, we met another community helper who also follows the IB way and possesses the IB Learner Profiles. She works in front of the camera. She delivers news and documentaries to the people of Nagano. She works as an announcer in ABN. She talked about how she does her work and the different stories she encounters and reports to the people. We were astonished on how exciting her work is!
We are looking forward to meeting more community helpers next week!
