Aurora Nagano: Goodbye demon!

It is the month of Setsubun and we have fully prepared for chasing the demon out from our classroom! We first had a craft on making the demon horns that required the fine motor skills of our kids (using the scissor, glue the strings, making cones), and wearing these horns make us look scarier than the demons. Next, we prepared some newspaper balls and threw at the demon that attacked our classroom this week. The kids were full of energy to chase the demon out of them, after some notable efforts, the demon was finally get out of us. Great job Aurora! This will be a year full of blessings!

Our UOI this week featured investigating the Helicopter! Our fellow investigators were doing their best to figure out every detail of helicopter, this included the shape, traits, colors, size, length and speed. We were looking at the scenes that we could see from the helicopter.

We learned about the capital and lowercase letters in the Phonics lesson this week, from A to I. Recognizing the big and small letters will help us greatly in writing and reading in our future lessons.

We also learned about the music recognition in our music class this week, we used the hula hoop as our instrument and reacted according to the music played by the teacher.

In our addition time, we also worked on workstations that improve our knowledge of shapes, alphabets, and reading skill.

Speaking of the last week of the month, we surely had our birthday party to our two celebrants! They have turned 4 and seeing them get mature every day made us proud. Happy Birthday!
