Nagano Shooting Star: We are Caring (Sept. 5th-9th)

We are caring for our family, friends, pets, and the people around us.

Did you know that small creatures like insects need care, too? We need to be caring for insects because they are also essential members of the planet. They are foods to some animals and some of them like butterflies and bees play an important role in pollination. Pollinators help plants and trees to produce seeds and fruits that humans and animals eat.

We watched a video on how important insects are and how they become extinct. We, as humans, need to care for them or they will be gone.

Phonics

We learned another short vowel sound, the short u sound. U says uh-uh umbrella. The class was grouped into two. We worked together to write the words that match the pictures

Workstation

We played Snakes and Ladders to count and recognize numbers from 1-100. We also copied 2D shapes using popsicle sticks. Some of us learned the shapes like octagon, parallelogram, and trapezoid.

Craft

Let’s be creative! We used different materials to create a masterpiece.

Outside Play

We played outside in the beginning and end of the week. The rest of the week was rainy so we stayed inside to play.

Have a nice weekend!
