What a wonderful week we had this week! So many exciting and fun activities!
Let’s start with talking about our UOI. This week we looked at different healthy vegetables from Mr. Dan’s garden. We could touch and hold them, cut them open, and see inside! It was fascinating to see how the vegetables grow. How big some of them were!
This week we also had a fun Art project. To get some inspiration we visited the Nagano Art museum. It was a really fun day and we got to see lots of different types of Art. It really helped us to get lots of cool and interesting ideas.
So once we got back to school we started on Art projects. We will send our finished Art to a competition. Fingers crossed we win!! We decided to choose the theme of Japanese ghosts. We were partly inspired by the Art in the museum and partly from our Obon vacation. It was so fun to paint crazy and spooky pictures together!
This week 2 of our G1 students took on their own challenge. Our School was chosen along with our other campuses to join the closing ceremony of the FICTS film Festival held in Nagano. Although only 2 of us would be present we all worked together to help support our G1 students for their presentations!
