Hello everyone!
It’s been another fun week here in our Aurora class. We have had fun playing outside, learning about favorites in our UOI, and continued learning phonics.

Line of inquiries: What makes me happy? Are my friends happy?
Last week, we started our UOI by discussing what makes us happy and came up with some wonderful examples! We also talked about why those things make us feel happy. We even continued the discussion while playing outside!

We will share some of our favorite things for the next few weeks, starting with an easy topic – colors! We also introduced the phrase, “My favorite color is _.” and did a fun activity to help us practice it. Try asking your child what their favorite color is at home. It really helps them remember when they have a chance to use their English at home too!
簡単なトピックである色から始めて、今後数週間、お気に入りのものをいくつか紹介します。 「好きな色は＿」というフレーズも紹介しました。 そして、私たちがそれを練習するのを助けるために楽しい活動をしました. お子さんに家で好きな色を聞いてみてください。 家でも英語を使う機会があれば、覚えておくのに本当に役立ちます。
Phonics and writing practice
We continued learning our phonics with the letter “B.” We used one of the letter-recognizing worksheets from supersimple.com to help us.

We also did some writing practice by tracing the letter. Last week’s tracing was easy for most of the students, but they found it more difficult this week. If you have time, please try to practice writing B at home too!
