Hello everyone!
It has been a very special week for our Rainbow friends here at ISN. We had our very first swimming lesson this week!

今月からスイミングレッスンが始まりました！
Fun in the sun
We continued to use our small pool outside when the weather was good and hot!
Before entering the pool, we always stretch our bodies and take a shower.
The teacher used the hose to make in rain over the pool, to everyone’s delight!
お天気が良い日は園庭でのプールを楽しみます！暑い日はお水遊びがとっても気持ちがいいですよね。もちろんお水遊び前はしっかりと先生とお約束をし、準備運動をしてプールのスタートです。先生がホースで雨を降らしてくれました。みんなキャーキャー叫びながら楽しんでいました。
Our first swimming lesson!
Everyone was very excited to go to the big pool for our very first swimming lesson.
The bus was full of energy and laughter, as they were eagerly waiting for us to reach the pool.
Before entering the pool, we do some light exercises and stretching together. We also take a shower before and after entering the pool.
みんながとっても楽しみにしていたスイミングレッスンが始まりました。
バスの中ではお友達とプールのお話をしたりと元気いっぱいのレインボーさん！
お着替えをし、準備運動、シャワーを浴びてレッスンの始まりです。
We started the lesson by sitting down and splashing the water with our feet. Then, the teacher told everyone to cover their face, because it was going to start raining! The teacher splashed water over the kids to make it rain down on them.
先ずはお水に慣れるように、先ずはプールサイドに座り足をバタバタ、そして手で水をすくい顔にパシャッ！次は先生達がお水の雨を降らしてくれました。お友達は両手で顔を覆い沢山のお水の雨を全身に浴びました。
Next, we had some fun activities in the water.
The first activity consisted of walking down the ramp in the water to the teacher at the end. They also had to walk through a hoop to make it a little more challenging. Some of the kids decided to walk down the ramp as crocodiles instead!
次のレッスンは、プールの中を歩く練習です。順番にプールの中を先生が居る所まで歩いて行ったり、フープの中をくぐったりしました。なかにはワニさん歩きをしながらフープをくぐるお友達もいました。
For the second activity, we used some fun cards of different characters and objects. The kids would walk to the edge of the pool, take one card, and walk to the other side and stick it to a float.
次はキャラクターのカードをプールサイドに取りに行き、プールの中で先生が持ってるボードに貼り付けます。水の中を往復しながら“これ持ってきた”“みてみて”と先生やお友達とお話ししながら楽しそうに参加していました。
Picking up balls floating in the water was the third and final activity. The kids walked around the water picking up a ball and putting it in a basket the teacher was holding. The real challenge was picking up only one ball at a time, because they all wanted to collect as many balls as possible before putting them in the basket.
最後は、カラフルなボールをプールの中に入れてボール拾いをしました。拾ったボールは先生が持ってるカゴの中へ入れていきます。“私ピンク”“ぼく緑”と拾ったボールの色を言いながらみんなで楽しみました。
大きいプールを目の前に緊張しているお友達もいましたが、最後はみんな笑顔いっぱいのスイミングレッスンとなりました。
次回のスイミングレッスンが楽しみですね。
Music lesson
We had another fun music lesson this week.
The frog was back, and showed us all how to jump. This week we put down hoops on the ground, and hopped between them. We also did our fun robot walk from our previous lessons!
The teacher brought a special magic wand to the lesson this week!
She used it to transform everyone to different animals!
First, we became elephants, and walked around the room swimming our long elephant noses.
Then, we became cute bunnies, and hopped around the room.
Finally, we became dangerous snakes! Some of the kids slithered around the room while the others rand away in fear of the scary snakes!
今週のリトミックは、おもちゃのカエルさんを使ってピョンピョンとジャンプする姿をイメージしながら先生のピアノの音に合わせてお友達みんなと一緒にジャンプ！そこに現れたのは！池です！フープで池を作りみんなでカエルさんになりフープの中へジャンプ！カエルの歌に合わせてピョンピョン。
次は、ロボットに変身、拍子の数だけ手を打ったり、ステップをしたり速さ、テンポをかえたりしながら動きました。
最後に魔法使い！先生が魔法をかけると⁉おさるさん、うさぎ、ぞう、へびに変身し、その動物のポーズをしてみました。即時反応の練習です。
魔法をかける音、魔法を解く音を聞き分けて先生が言った動物に変身。どのお友達も楽しそうに色々な動物に変身していました。
