It has been a hot, but fun week here at ISN!

Fun in the sun
We have had a few opportunities to enjoy the nice weather outside this week.
The hot weather doesn’t drain any energy away from our energetic rainbow student! They were running around, using the playground and playing in the sandpit with the same level of energy as always.
今週も夏日の様な暑さでしたね。
お友達は元気いっぱい園庭で走り回り、お砂場でお山、ケーキを作ったり、先生と一緒にすべり台して楽しみました。
子供たちの体力は無限ですね！
Crafts (Mother’s Day)
At the end of last week, we made some nice Mother’s Day gifts for all the wonderful mothers of rainbow class. Everyone waited patiently for their turn to make a cute little handprint. Thank you, mothers, for all your support! All the teachers here know how much our students love their mothers very much!
5月１０日は母の日でした。
みんな大好きなお母さんに日頃の感謝の気持ちを込めてプレセントを作りました。1人1人先生に絵の具を手に付けてもらい、紙にペタッ！可愛い手形が完成しました。“次ぼく、次私”と順番を待ってる時から大興奮でしたよ！
お花とメッセージを添えて完成です。
“いつもありがとう”とプレゼントと一緒に渡せたかな⁉
Music lesson
We had another fun music class this week!
The teacher showers the kids pictures of different fruits. We said the name of the fruits while clapping in rhythm to the sound. We also used the scarves to make some nice flowers. We waved the flowers gently to the rhythm of the music the teacher was playing on the piano. The teacher showed the kids a new fun “racoon” dance and walk too!
みんなが大好きなリトミックの時間です。
今週は、拍子を感じる、数の確認！
カードを見て果物、野菜の名前を言いながら手を打ちます。２拍⇒もも、なす
３⇒バナナ、トマト４拍⇒人参、大根。
みんな上手に果物、野菜の名前を声に出し、同時に手を打つことができました。
次に狸に変身して音楽に合わせて動きます！手はおなか、足は膝を上げてピアノのリズムに合わせて速く歩いたり、ゆっくり歩いたりしました。
最後にスカーフを使いお花を作り、“おはながわらった”の曲に合わせて身体とお花を左右に揺らしながらリズムを取る練習をしました。
もとても楽しいリトミックの時間でしたね！
Monthly theme
This month’s theme is farm/zoo animals!
We have been focusing mainly on 5 different farm animals this week.
Cow, pig, horse, sheep and duck. We have been singing “Old MacDonald Had A Farm” which includes all the animals and the sound they make. Everybody looks very happy when they sing it, so please sing it together at home when you have time! 😊
今月は、動物の名前を歌と一緒に学んでいます。
どのお友達も大好きな歌で“もう一回”“もう一回”とリクエストがきます！
ふとした時に鼻歌だったり、口ずさんでいるお友達もいます。
お時間がある時にお家でもお子さまと一緒に歌ってみてください。
