Merry Christmas!
It’s been a very merry Christmas week here at ISN! It was the last week of 2019 here at ISN. 2019 has been a great year, and it’s been so much fun seeing the development of all our rainbow class students. They have come a long way since April, and the class has almost doubled in size since then!

冷たい風と共に、時には雪が舞う日がありましたが、レインボーさん達は元気いっぱいお友達と今年最後の楽しい一週間を過ごしました。
Christmas show
I want to thank everyone for coming to our Christmas show at the end of last week and supporting our wonderful Rainbow kids. Everyone tried their best and looked so cute on staged in their snowman costumes! They were so excited to be able to perform for you, and they all agreed that it was a lot of fun!
先週の金曜日には、クリスマスショーがありました、毎日この日の為に沢山練習を重ねてきました！
当日、いつもと違う雰囲気にビックリ！緊張してしまったお友達もいましたが、楽しんでパフォーマンスすることが出来ました。みんなにとっても良い経験になった事と思います。
保護者の皆さまには、沢山のご協力を頂きまして、誠にありがとうございました。お忙しい中、たくさんの皆様に足を運んで頂きありがとうございました。

Gym
Everyone was full of energy for this week’s gym lesson!
During our stretching and warm up routine, the kids had to jump up and down inside a small hoop on the floor. Everyone did a good job staying inside their hoops while jumping with all their power!
After we were all warmed up, we set up a small obstacle course. It included a balance beam, a tunnel and some balloons hanging from the ceiling. Everyone was very excited to crawl through the tunnel! The balloons were, of course, also a big favorite.
For our final activity we threw newspaper balls at a big ball filled with bells. Thanks to everyone’s good aim and powerful throw, the bells rang loudly inside the bag.
今年最後のジムレッスンは、体全体を使ってたくさん運動しました。
フープの中でジャンプ！フープからはみ出さない様に気をつけながら何回も高く飛ぶことができました。続いてアスレチックに挑戦！平均台、フープ、トンネル、風船タッチと順番に一つ一つクリアしていきました。平均台では、バランスを取りながら前進、トンネルは足と手を使い早く脱出、最後に高さの違う風船めがけてジャンプからの腕を伸ばし風船にタッチ！みんな大好きなアスレチック、笑い声や、笑顔が溢れていました。
最後はサンタさんに届くように鈴をみんなで鳴らしました！
大きな赤い袋の中には鈴が入っています、袋めがけて紙ボールを投げ鈴を鳴らしました。みんな一生懸命ボールを投げ鈴の音がサンタさんに届くように頑張りました。サンタさん鈴の音届いたかな？
Crafts
For our crafts this week the kids made some cute Christmas cards for their mommies and daddies.
They used crayons to color and draw inside the card.
Everyone was very proud of their work, and very excited to give it to their parents.
今月は、クリスマスをメインに工作してきました。
そして今週は、みんなでお父さん、お母さんへクリスマスカードを作りました。
お友達とクリスマスについて、サンタクロースやプレゼントのお話をしながら楽しく作ることができ、クリスマスに素敵なプレゼントが出来上がりました！
Playtime
Now that the Christmas show is over we have had some time to relax and play together.
Everyone is getting along and playing together nicely. We have been working on the importance of sharing toys, and I’m very happy seeing everyone’s improvement!
お友達と一緒に仲良く遊んだり、オモチャの貸し借りも上手にできるようになってきました！二人一緒に仲良く座り一冊の本をシェアーをしたりしているお友達もいます。自然と笑顔になりますね。
Music
Now that the Christmas show is over, we returned to our regular music lesson.
We started the lesson off by looking at some different animals inside a picture book.
The teacher would point at an animal and ask the name of it, and what kind of sound it makes.
We then used our castanets again. Everyone has become very good after all the practice for the Christmas show. Depending on the music the teacher was playing they either had to use the castanets in rhythm to the music while standing still or walk around the room while keeping the castanets quiet.
クリスマスショーも終わり、通常のリトミックに戻りました。今年最後のリトミックは、動物の鳴き声や形態を聴き分け、色々な動物をイメージ！絵本を見ながら何の動物かを当てたり、鳴き声をマネしました。
カスタネットを使い２拍子の練習もしました、曲に合わせてお散歩し、曲が止まったらカスタネットを叩く練習をしました、みんなとても上手にできました。
最後に新しい歌、１０人のインディアンズを練習しました、楽しそうに指で数字を表しながら練習していました。
Christmas cake
This week we had a very special afternoon snack.
We got some very delicious Christmas cakes!
クリスマスのスナックは、なんとチョコレートケーキでした！
みんなとても嬉しそうに、美味しそうに食べていました。
Christmas presents!
We are very lucky here at ISN to have such wonderful student and parents.
This week we got two big Christmas presents from one of our generous parents!
The kids all gathered and watched as the teacher opened the presents.
And what was inside? Books!
The teacher read of the new books, and then we had a big book reading party!
ISNにサンタさんが来てくれました！素敵なプレゼントありがとうございます。
みんなでワクワクしながらサンタさんからのプレゼント開けました、中には沢山の本‼本を目の前に子供達も笑顔いっぱい！嬉しそうでした。
先生がその中から一冊の本を読んでくれました、どのお友達も真剣にお話を最後まで聞くことができました。その後一冊ずつ本を受け取りみんなで本を読みました！素敵な本に笑顔いっぱいの子供達！沢山の素敵な本をありがとうございました。

１２月も終わりですね、皆さまにとってどの様な１年でしたでしょうか？
寒さの中元気に遊び回る姿に子供達それぞれが自分のペースで大きく、たくましく成長してきた１年だと感じています。
