Hello everyone, and welcome to Aurora’s first blog post of the new school year!
ISN長野キャンパス、Auroraクラスの皆様 ご入園 ご進級おめでとうございます。
新学期最初のブログ投稿へようこそ。
This week, we welcomed many of our students back, but we also welcomed some new friends to our class! It was great to see everyone playing together so nicely, both old and new friends!
今週は、一つお兄さんお姉さんになったAuroraに、新しい4人のお友達が仲間に加わりました！一緒に楽しそうに遊んでいる姿を見るのは、素晴らしかったです。
Classroom rules and new daily routines 🏫
Now that we are Aurora, it’s more important than ever that we know our classroom rules well.
One of the important rules we have is about cleaning up yourself when you play. We have many different toys and puzzles in Aurora, so it’s important that they clean up they toys they are playing before playing with something else. And with our new friends joining our class, everyone has to set a good example!
今週は、Auroraのお兄さんお姉さんになった今、毎日の生活習慣の見直しや、クラスのお約束をみんなんでお話ししました。
Auroraには、様々なおもちゃやパズルなどがあります。そのため、他のおもちゃで遊ぶ時は、今遊んでいるおもちゃを自分で片付けてから、次のおもちゃで遊びましょうと、みんなでお約束しました。
新しいお友達のお手本になれるように、みんなで協力をして上手にお片付けをしています。
We are also getting used to new daily routines. They have more responsibly, and have to begin to do more things by themselves. I have no doubt that by the end of the year, we have a class full of wonderful independent kids!
また、新しい生活にも少しずつ慣れてきています。
自分の身の回りのことを自分自身で行えるように、できることが増えていくことを願い、毎日を過ごしていきたいと思います。
きっと、Aurora最後の日には、素晴らしい独立した子供たちでいっぱいのクラスになっているでしょう！
Aurora’s cherry blossom tree 🌸
Everyone has been so excited about all the beautiful cherry blossoms trees outside this spring, so we decided we wanted to make our very own Aurora cherry blossom tree! We used our hands and some pink paint to create our own beautiful cherry blossom tree. We pressed our hands down on a towel soaked in pink paint before stamping our hands down on the paper.
みんなで公園へ行ったときに見た、春の美しい桜の木にみんな興奮していたので、自分たちだけの「Aurora桜の木」を作りたいと思いました。手とピンクの絵の具を使って、美しい桜の木を作りました！ピンクの絵の具を染み込ませたタオルに手を浸し、紙に手をペタペタと押し付け、桜を表現しました。

It’s yummy!
We reiterated the importance of “Triangle eating”. As much as possible, the kids have to try to eat their rice, main dish and side dishes evenly.
「おいしい！」の声がたくさん聞こえてくるAuroraランチタイムです♪ Auroraがチャレンジしていることが、もう一つ。「三角食べ」です。一つのおかずばかりを集中して食べるのではなく、いろいろなものをまんべんなく食べることが大事なんだよと、先生からのお話を聞いてチャレンジをしているAuroraです。
Name game 🖐️
Since we welcomed 4 new friends to our class, we wanted a nice way to learn everyone’s name. And what better way to learn each other’s name, than a fun name game!
We sat down on the floor in a circle, so that everyone could face each other. We used a ball that we rolled from one friend to another. When rolling the ball to someone else, they asked: “What is your name?”. When they received the ball, they answered: “My name is __”. We kept rolling the ball until everyone had a chance to ask and answer the question.
クラスに4人の新しいお友達を迎えたので、ボールを使ってみんなで自己紹介をしました。みんなのお顔がよく見えるように、大きな輪になって床に座りました。そして、ボールを転がす時に、「What is your name?」と言いながら、ボールを転がし、受け取ったお友達は、「My name is __.」と答え、みんなで「Hello! ______！ 」とごあいさつしました。
少し照れながらの素敵な自己紹介の時間でした♪
Playtime! 🤸♂️
Of course, we always set aside time for playtime every day! Whether it’s inside or outside, we have fun together and take care of each other. We share our toys nicely and use our voice if we want to express ourselves.
毎日、大好きなプレイタイムの時間があります♪室内遊びも、外遊びもみんなで楽しんで、時には助け合い協力しながら過ごしています。
みんなでおもちゃを仲良く共有しながら遊べるように、時には先生の助けを借りて、そして、自分の意志をお友達に声を出して伝えられるように、お友達との関り合いを通して社会性を育んでいます。
Inside play
We have many fun new puzzles and toys in our Aurora classroom, so the kids have been very excited to try out everything!
Auroraのクラスには、楽しい新しいパズルやおもちゃがあるので、みんな全て試すことに興奮しています！
Park and outside play
At the end of our Rainbow time, we practiced walking together without holding the rope. This week, we had our very first trip to the park without the rope! I was impressed by how well everyone walked while holding their partner’s hand.
Rainbowクラスの終わりに、ロープを持たずに一緒に歩く練習をしました。今週、みんなでロープなしで公園への最初の旅行をしました。パートナーの手を握りながら、みんなが上手に歩いていることに感動しました!!
みんなかっこいい!!
We also had fun playing outside together with our new friends. Everyone is getting along so well! It’s going to be a great year together!
また、新しいお友達と一緒に外で遊ぶのも楽しかったです♪みんな仲良くしています。13人のAuroraのみんなで一緒に素晴らしい一年にしましょうね!!
