Nagano Shooting Star: Learning by Experience (May 29th- June 2nd)

We listened to the Rainbow teacher talking about her family in the Philippines and Japan. We also watched and listened to a book titled “What Makes a Baby” that initially answered our I Wonder question: why there are babies in Mommies’ bellies. We are excited to learn more about this topic in the next few days.

Dance Lesson

We learned a new dance this week. The dance steps were cool and easy to remember!

Workstation

We focused on Math this week: counting, writing, and recognizing numbers by coloring.

Swimming

We love swimming lessons. We learned to do some routines like jumping from one platform to another, making bubbles in the water, and more.

Playtime

We learned that listening needs focus and attention. If we don’t pay attention and talk while others are speaking, we won’t be able to get the right message and won’t be able to understand the words being said. So to practice our listening skills and cooperation, we played the “Pass the Message” game where we had to pass the right message to the entire group by whispering. The last person in line shouts out the message. We tried many times until we got the correct message. It was rewarding that after many tries, we were able to succeed.

We also played outside before the weather got bad.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
