Nagano Shooting Star: Storytelling in Many Ways (Nov. 21st-25th)

We talked about the third way of storytelling which is movies. There are different kinds of stories told in movies like fairytales, fables, or adventure. This week we watched a movie titled “Sing” which has animal characters that act like humans. We enjoyed this movie so much!

Another way of telling a story is through a stage play. That’s why we have been practicing our play for the Christmas Show. In three weeks we are showing our story to the parents. We are so excited to show you our story!

We have been enjoying playing with puppets since we talked about puppet show last week. We took our favorite characters off the wall and used them as our puppets. Meet our favorite characters!

Moreover, this morning play is a combination of interrupted and uninterrupted free play time. The children had a little supervision from the teacher to improve their decision making, problem solving, and social skills. This is vital for their growth to work on their feelings, ideas, and even things they are learning.

P.E.

We have been using a horizontal bar in our Gym lessons. It strengthens our whole body by hanging upside down and land on the mat with our feet, safely.

Music

Just like our stage play, we are also practicing for our music performance in the Christmas Show. There are some keys that we still get confused of but we can do it! We will try our best to play the music well.

We also wrote a letter to Santa Claus! We told him that we were nice this year and that we would love to receive some presents from him. We are looking forward to getting a reply from Santa.

PLAYTIME!

Have a great weekend!
