New month, new friends!
We welcomed our new friend this week. He belongs in the Shooting Star group. Welcome to ISN! Let’s learn and have fun together!
今週からShooting Starには新しいお友達が１人加わりました😍 沢山学び、楽しみましょうね😉
We also met new friends from other school, Alphabet Kids, via google meet. We introduced ourselves one by one and talked about what we like. We found out that most of us are of the same age and interests! We also sang them a song, Count on Me. Since they are our friends now, they can count on us whenever they need us.
新しいお友達は他の場面でも作ることが出来ました🥰千曲市にあるAlphabet Kidsさんと google meet を使い、交流をしました❣それぞれのスクールのお友達１人１人がカメラに向かって自己紹介をしました。名前、年齢、自分の好きな物の話をしました。びっくりすることに、新しいお友達と年齢も好きな食べ物も同じでしたね🤭 最後に「Count On me」の歌を先生のウクレレの伴奏に合わせて歌いました🎵
UOI: How We Express Ourselves
It’s the first week of the month and the start of the new unit in our UOI, as well. This unit’s transdisciplinary theme is “How We Express Ourselves” with central idea which states that “Storytelling allows us to share our identity, feelings, and experiences. For our Line of Inquiry 1, Elements of a story, we are discussing Form as our approach to learning where in the students will learn the characters, settings, and types of a story. As early as now, they already understand why there are characters and settings in a story. One of them said that there wouldn’t be a story without any characters and settings. The other one mentioned that we wouldn’t understand a story without these elements.
今週から新しいUnitに入りました。 教科の枠をこえたテーマ : 私たちはどのように自分を表現するのか 中心的アイデア : お話によって、私たちは自分のアイデンティティーや感情、経験を共有することができる。 探究の流れ 1：お話の構成, 登場人物、お話の設定、お話の種類を探究 していきます。 早速、物語に登場人物や設定がある理由を理解してきてますね😎✏📃 「物語は登場人物がいなかったら物語にならないよね！」 や、「物語の構成がしっかりないと、物語を理解する事が難しいよね」と、教えてくれたお友達もいました📚
In our prior knowledge assessment, the class was grouped with four or five members and did a brainstorming of what a story is using a bubble map. Each member of the group shared his/ her idea of what a story is, then presented their answers to the class. Aside from that, we also talked about the characters and the setting of the story “Little Red Riding Hood”, a story that they are very familiar of. In our discussion of the characters, we asked them the traits of the characters incorporating the Learner Profiles in IB, namely knowledgeable, thinker, inquirer, open-minded, communicator, principled, risk taker, balanced, caring, and reflective. At the end of the week, they drew their favorite character in any story that they’ve read or seen. We also sorted some stories whether they are fairy tales, adventure stories, or fables.
事前知識を調べるために、４～５人のグループになり バブルマップを使用して、物語の内容について意見を出し合いました。その後、グループで出てきた答えをクラスの前で発表しました。他には、お馴染み、赤ずきんちゃんの登場人物と物語の設定について話し合いました。登場人物はIBの学習者像；知識のある人 、 考える人 、 コミュニケーションができる人 、 信念をもつ人 、 心を開く人 、 思いやりのある人 、 挑戦する人 、 バランスのとれた人 、 振り返りができる人、どれに当てはまるかも話し合いました。 週の終わりのレッスンでは、観たり、読んだりした好きな物語の登場人物を絵でかいてみました❣ お話をおとぎ話、冒険物語、または寓話の３つに分けるアクティビティーもしました📚📚📚
Swimming
It was Shooting Star’s turn this week. They are more comfortable in the water now without their swimming board. Watch the video below.
今週はShooting Starクラスのスイミングレッスンの番でした🏊♀️🏊♂️ ビート板無しで蹴伸びもとても上手に出来るようになりました。
OUTDOOR PLAY
It was nice to play outside especially in the sandpit! Playing with our friends made it more fun!
今週は特に外の砂場で遊ぶのは楽しかったです。お友達と一緒に遊ぶと、より楽しいですね😁✌
GYM
We’ve improved doing cartwheel! Yahoo! We’ve been practicing during our outdoor play so our gym teacher was impressed that most of us can do it better now.
ジムレッスンでは側転がとても上手になりました。外遊びの時も懸命に練習している成果がでましたね😎 インストラクターに褒められました😁😁😁
HALLOWEEN CRAFT
For our Halloween- related craft, we made different creatures with tissue paper rolls, toilet paper, origami paper, and more. There were Frankenstein, vampires, Jack-o- Lanterns, bats, Demon Slayer characters, and mummies.
ハロウィーンのクラフトは トイレットペーパーロール、トイレットペーパー、折り紙などで、さまざまな生き物を作りました 。フランケンシュタイン、ドラキュラ、ジャコランタン、コウモリ、鬼滅の刃の登場人物、ミイラなど作りました✂🎃
MUSIC
We started using the keyboard last week. Shooting Star is practicing the second line of “Jingle Bells”, while Milky Way is also on the second line of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”.
ミュージックのレッスンでは先週よりキーボードを使用し始めました🎹 Shooting Starは「ジングルベル」Milky Wayは「虹のかなたに」を楽譜の２段目まで合わせて弾きました🎵
