Welcome back to the Rainbow blog! We are in our second week, and the kids are getting more used to the classroom and their new environment. This week, we had fun learning about colors, playing outside in the nice weather, made some nice Easter eggs, and have been singing many songs together!
今週もブログを見てくださり、ありがとうございます。園生活も2週目に入り子供たちも新しい環境に慣れてきました。今週はクラスで色について学んだり、外遊びや、イースターエッグ作り、歌をうたって楽しく過ごしました。

Before the rainy day come rolling in at the end of the week, we enjoyed playing outside in the sunny weather. Some of the students noticed the tulips blooming outside, and wanted to show their teachers the nice flowers.
週の前半は天気が良かったので園庭でたくさん遊びました。園庭のすみにあるプランターにチューリップが咲いていることに気がついたお友だちが、担任にチューリップのことを教えてくれました。
Easter egg crafts 🥚🐰
Easter is right around the corner, so we made some Easter eggs together this week. Each student got two egg shaped pieces of paper that they could decorate with any design they wanted. We used paint and cotton swabs as brushes to decorate the eggs. It was our first craft time together, so it was very fun to see what color and pattern they decided to paint! Everyone did a wonderful job!
イースターの日がもうすぐそこまできているので、イースターエッグを作りました。（今年のイースターは4月17日で、イエスキリストが十字架にかけられ処刑された日から、3日目に復活したことを祝うお祭りです。）卵型の紙を二枚づつ配り、綿棒を筆がわりに絵の具でおもいおもいに色をつけていきました。初めてのクラフトのクラスでしたが、それぞれの個性がでた素敵な作品ができました！
All about colors! 🖍️
For the month of April, we will be learning about colors. This week, we have talked a lot about the different colors we can see around us in the classroom. We have also done some activities to blend playing and learning. In one of our activities, we spread out all our colorful blocks on the floor. The teacher would then read a book about colors where each page focused on one color. The kids had to find the same-colored blocks as was shown in the book and try to say the name of the color if they could.
今月は色について遊びを交えながら学びます。今週は教室の中にあるいろいろな色について話しました。色についての絵本を読んだ後に、床に置かれたブロックから、絵本のページごとに扱われている色のブロックをpick upしました。そしてそのブロックの色を英語で声に出してみました👍
I was very happy to see everyone trying their best to find all the colors! Good job Rainbow! We also did some coloring of a spring themed coloring page while asking the kids about the color they used.
頑張って色のブロックを探す園児の姿を見てとても嬉しかったです。Good job Rainbow! そして次の日は、色の話をしながら、クレヨンで春の絵柄の塗り絵を楽しみました。
Monthly songs 🎵
For the month of April, we have been and will be singing the famous lullaby “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. Please sing it together at home too when you have the time!
今月は「きらきら星」をクラスで歌っています。ぜひお家でもお子さんと歌って下さいね！
We have also been singing this song about the colors of the rainbow. It’s called “I Can Sing a Rainbow”.
