Hello Aurora and Shooting Star families!
Aurora、Shooting Starのお友達こんにちは。
We have had another fun week at ISN!
また楽しくISNで１週間を過ごす事が出来ましたね。
We started the week off with a fun music lesson!
まずはリトミックのレッスンです。
Aurora class read a book with their teacher, which had many pictures on each page. The students had to identify the pictures that started with the “Do” syllable in Japanese, such as doughnut. On another page, students had to identify the words that started with the “Re” syllables, such as remon (lemon in English). As you can tell, these are the first two notes in a music bar, so students are beginning to understand the notes associated with music.
Auroraさんは先生の本に描いてあるドで始まる言葉探しです。🍩👗そしてレで始まる言葉です。🍋🏫そして、それぞれの言葉を口に出して言いながら手を叩いていきました。
Shooting Star class continued playing their pianicas. They are now playing the song “Bun Bun Bun”, which is a popular children’s song around the world. The older students can even sing the song using the musical notes, for example singing “So Fa Mi, Re Mi Fa Re Do”.
Shooting Starのお友達はピアニカの練習です。ぶんぶんぶんの曲を練習しています。ウォーミングアップで口でドレミを歌い曲に合わせてクラス内を歩きまわりました。
Both classes are doing a great job in their respective music classes, and remember to practice your pianicas Shooting Star!

Also this week we had a fun UOI lesson!
今週のUOIレッスンです。
Our new UOI Transdiciplinary theme is “How we organize ourselves”, our central idea is “An understanding of the 3Rs can help us stay healthy and keep our environments clean”, and we are now working our way through our first line of inquiry “What is clean and dirty?”.
探究テーマは”How we organize ourselves”、そして探究内容は”An understanding of the 3Rs can help us stay healthy and keep our environments clean”そして１つ目のLOI”What is clean and dirty?”何が綺麗で汚い・汚れているか。についてです。
We are already comfortable with the idea of what clean and dirty are, so for this lesson we made those ideas a reality!
ほとんどのお友達は綺麗と汚い・汚れているの違いは分かるので、今回は実際に目の当たりにするアクティビティをしました・・・。💦
After arriving back at school from our gym lesson, we were shocked to discover that our classroom was a complete mess!
ジムレッスンが終わり、教室に戻って来て教室に戻って来たらなんと… クラス内がひっくり返ってしまったように散らかっていたのです。😨😱
Students were quick to point out that we couldn’t do any work until our class was tidy, so we set off on cleaning the classroom!
こんな教室が散らかっていたら何も出来ないので、みんなで元のように綺麗に戻す事にしました。
Students came up with different strategies for cleaning – some cleaned their own items up fist before helping others, while some students cleaned up all of the items of each category, for example PJs or swim bags.
色んな方法で片付けをしている姿を見ました。まず、自分の物を探し、その後お友達の手伝いをするお友達、そして、クラスみんなが持っているPJバッグや水着の袋を先に片付けるお友達。
After a long time cleaning the classroom, we took a tour of the shiny, clean classroom with our teacher, and were very proud of the results!
片付けが終わると、時間をかけてしっかり綺麗に整理整頓出来た教室を最後に先生が見回りをしてOKをもらいました。
Everyone did a great job cleaning, and the classroom has never looked cleaner!
みなさん、上手にお片付けが出来ましたね💛ピカピカになった教室は居心地がいいですよね😉
