Hello Everyone!
This 4 days school week kids got busy with doing the individual assessment interview as we wrapped up our UOI 2 (Unit of Inquiry 2). The interview was done to check how well the kids understood the unit, we also check what they’ve learned and if they like the unit. While doing the interview other kids had to do a WORKSTATION, which is a designated table or space in the classroom where in they have to complete a certain task. Workstations are usually 3 or more activities that kids can try to do and after completion the kids can go to the next table. It can be writing, coloring, cutting, playing with clay etc.
この4日間のスクールウィークでは、UOI 2（Unit of Inquiry 2）の総仕上げとして、個人面談をがんばりました。インタビューは、みんながどれだけそのユニットを理解しているか、また何を学んだか、そのユニットが好きかどうかをチェックするために行われました。インタビューをしている間、他の子供たちはワークステーションでの活動をしました。ワークステーションとは、教室内の指定されたテーブルやスペースのことで、そこで特定のタスクを完了することになります。ワークステーションは通常3つ以上のアクティビティがあり、それをこなした後は次のテーブルに移ることができます。書く、色を塗る、切る、粘土で遊ぶなどです。
We also got busy preparing for the upcoming SPORTS Day. The kids were hard at work practicing our cheers and our dance exercise, at the same time they practiced tumbling on the mat and walking using their hands while the teachers hold their feet like a wheelbarrow we did this to prepare for the obstacle courses . Everyone did a great job and had fun, they challenged themselves and they tried which is very important for this age to gain confidence in what they can do physically.
また、間近に迫ったスポーツデーの準備にも追われました。オーロラさんたちはチアやダンスの練習に励み、同時にマットの上でのでんぐり返しや、先生たちが手押し車のように足を持ち、手を使って歩く練習をしました。この年齢にとって、身体的にできることに自信を持つことはとても大切なことですね。
SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAY PARTY
Hooray! Happy Happy Birthday to our friends born on the month of September! We love you! We celebrate you! We are so happy we can eat birthday cake together at class.
